The Jackson In Pine  is in the heart of Arizona's recreational high country at 6,400. The Mogollon Rim provides a paradise for hikers, mountain bikers and horseback riders. Anglers will enjoy fishing any of seven area lakes as well as easy access to a variety of mountain streams.

Relax and enjoy the scenery! The 7,500 foot escarpment known as the Mogollon Rim is home to a variety of wildlife. You'll find Rocky Mountain elk, deer, black bear, mountain lion, bobcat, fox, javelina, wild turkey, raccoon, squirrel and coyotes. Over 239 species of birds... including eagles, hawks and ravens make this area their home.

Swim or fishing opportunities abound in many areas along the East Verde River or Fossil Creeks.  You and the family can rent a horse from a nearby stable.

Tonto Natural Bridge: Visit the world's largest known travertine bridge. If you have never seen this natural bridge, it is an Arizona must see. It does require hiking steep trails, but they are short and the view of the waterfall and the natural bridge are worth it.

Tonto Creek Fish Hatchery: Arizona Game and Fish department manages this trout hatchery. The hatchery offers free self-guided tours. See fish in holding tanks shaded by canopies and ponds with larger trout ready to stock.
